Thanks to all the parents and students who made the effort to attend the Premiere Awards Evening at the Auckland Museum on Sunday night. It was wonderful to have such a large number of our students there.
Unfortunately our video did not win the category but I would like to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of the effort that the students put into their video and the excellent sportsmanship that they showed on the evening!
Stay tuned for more fabulous videos from Room 18 and next time we will take home that trophy!
Only four weeks of term left and we are focussing on completing research about natural disasters, writing our excellent explanations and multiplying and dividing our way to the top in mathematics! Hopefully you will enjoy reading some of the students' work in their portfolios at the end of the term.

Sylvia Park School is proud to present our Sculpture Trail!!!
During Term 1 in 2012, each class created a sculpture that explored aspects of biodiversity and in the last week of the term we had a grand opening with tours around the sculpture trail and an open picnic day for family, guests and visitors to enjoy while being entertained by a live band!
It was a fantastic end to the term.
