Welcome to the Room 1 blog.
As at week 4 we have 9 children, all keen to come to school, Keep it up, we need to be at school every day.
Our big excitement for this term is our pool BUT we all need our togs on Wednesdays and Thursdays which are our swimming days. Swimming and water safety are an important part of our learning at SPS. We are having a triathlon in Week 10 and swimming is a part of this.
Literacy (maths) and numeracy (reading and writing) are very important too of course.

Children enjoy routines and on school entry in Room 1 routines are established on the first day. Because of this as new children join our class they quickly fit in and settle down.
Literacy and numeracy are our priorities at S.P.S and these play a major part in our daily programme.
We are hoping to create signage in our indigenous gardens using the Inquiry learning process.A trip to the Botanic gardens this term will give us further information and ideas to use in our own gardens.
