My name is Betty Tafa and I am one of 4 teachers working with the year 7 & 8 students and also the Nga Manukura team leader. I have been teaching for 5 years and have been a part of the SPS whanau since 2018. Family and culture are very important to me and being welcomed and a part of the diverse SPS whanau feels like home. I am a proud Samoan; born and raised in Strathmore, Wellington and Mt Roskill, Auckland. My family comes from the beautiful villages of Mulifanua and Aufaga in Upolu, Samoa. During the weekends and holidays, I spend a lot of time with my church youth and family as well as a lot of catching up with friends. I come from a very big and close family. I have a lot of family in Brisbane and Melbourne, and travel back and forth when I can.
