Dagmar Dyck

Mālō e lelei SPS fanau,

My name is Dagmar Dyck and for the last 10 years I have enjoyed many roles at SPS. I started as a reliever before quickly progressing to our full time specialist art teacher which suited the merging of my two passions - the arts and teaching. In 2019 I undertook a sabbatical to complete my Masters and on returning have enjoyed playing a supportive role to the Senior Leadership. My Teaching Council Governance Board role affords me a macro level of our educational landscape and I am mindful of bringing this lens back to share with my colleagues.

I am looking forward to championing our school aspiration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pakirehua. Key to this role is supporting each term’s Inquiry and the various initiatives that fall out of Pakirehua e.g, our Creatives in Schools, Music and Choir, Senior STEAM and any other innovative projects that we love to dream up! Whenever Whaea Barb needs to step out I will cover her to ensure continuity of support. Exciting times ahead.
Mālō ‘aupito,
Whaea Dagmar
